What is the Conversion?
Before I mentioned you the concept “conversion”. I want to explain you the meaning of this word. In ecommerce, conversion is the act of converting site visitors into paying customers. For example if you have a website that has 1000 visitors per day and each day 100 of your customers buy something from your website you would have a conversion of 10%.
However you can use the concept of conversion in a wider form. For example, getting someone to open an email is a conversion, having them to click on the call-to-action link inside that email is another conversion. Going through your website and filling out a registration form to read your content is a conversion. Even though if your client is not buying anything, you can apply the concept of conversion. And of course, buying your product is the ultimate conversion.
As a general rule, you can measure your conversion rate by:
You can see the “Goal Achievements” as mini steps that will finally drive your client to buying a product from you.
Therefore the higher the conversion rate, the higher your profit and the more money you will make! That’s why it’s so important to calculate your conversions and figure out how you can increase them.
